Dear Teachers,

As the 2009-2010 School year comes to an end, I'd like to thank all of you for making me feel welcome here at the Millicent Library in my role as Youth Services Librarian. I've enjoyed getting to know many of you and your students by visiting your schools, hosting kids here for library tours, and planning and implementing vacation and after-school programming. I shared information via email and the local press, not to mention our new favorite, social networking. If you are not yet a fan of the Millicent Library, please join us on Facebook.

I'll be visiting the schools in the coming days to promote the 2010 Statewide Theme, Go Green at your Library. We look forward to an action-packed summer full of programs, special events, and READING for the fun of it!

In the fall, I'll be back in touch with you regarding your needs as teachers and the ways we can make communication between the schools and the Millicent Library more streamlined.
