Databases available from home

World Book Encyclopedia Online

Databases funded by SouthEastern Massachusets Library System and the Board of Library Commissioners.
Click where it says "Home Access to Databases (Barcode entry box)"

You need to enter the barcode from your Massachusetts library card.
You can search the Boston Globe, Herald, Washington Post, USA Today, LA Times; Books in Print with Reviews / Books Out Of Print; Business & Company Resource Center (Infotrac); Contemporary Authors; Contemporary Literary Criticism; Electric Library; Expanded Academic ASAP; Health & Wellness Resource Center; Infotrac General Reference Center; SIRS Knowledge Source & Discoverer on the Web. Within these titles are buried other databases as well, so be prepared to dig.

(TIP) Once you log into these with your barcode, click on "Gale InfoTrac Databases" on the left menu and you'll get an interesting list of databases including "What Should I Read Next."

Millicent Library databases
The library is subscribing to a lot of new databases that you can access from home, as long as you have a Millicent Library card (residents of other towns should check the websites of their home libraries to see if they offer access).

You can also check the SAILS list for more by going to the SAILS iBistro page, logging in with your barcode and the last 4 digits of your phone number and then clicking on the button that says "Information Resources." Then click on "Online Magazines and Research Tools." It seems to be basically the same list presented in a different way.
